What’s the difference between an ISO Partner and a Referral Partner?
An ISO Partner originates and manages funding opportunities and submits complete files to TKG for structuring and placement. A Referral Partner is a trusted advisor who simply makes the introduction. TKG handles the funding analysis, matching, documents, and process from there.
Do I need experience in business funding?
Not as a Referral Partner. If your clients already trust your advice, you can add value by recognizing a capital need and introducing TKG. ISO Partners are expected to have working experience originating and managing funding opportunities.
What types of financing can TKG provide?
Merchant cash advances, business lines of credit, term loans, SBA financing, equipment financing, commercial real estate, revenue-based financing, specialty medical funding, expansion capital, and working capital. The right program depends on the business, and identifying it is our job.
How is partner compensation determined?
Compensation is defined in your partner agreement and depends on the lane you are in and the funding structure placed. The terms are set before any opportunity is presented to a client.
When will I know my compensation on a transaction?
Before the opportunity is presented to the client. TKG communicates the funding structure and the partner compensation clearly, so there are no surprises at closing.
Who communicates with my client?
That depends on the lane and on what you prefer. ISO Partners often stay front and center with their client while TKG works the file behind the desk. Referral Partners typically make the introduction and let TKG handle the process, with updates back to you.
How does TKG protect my relationship?
The originating partner is recorded and respected on every opportunity. Compensation and funding structures are communicated transparently, client information is handled confidentially, and our objective is renewals and repeat business with you, not around you.
What happens when a client doesn’t currently qualify?
We tell you and the client what is holding the file back and help build a path toward fundability. A not-yet is a future opportunity, not a dead one.
Can I refer opportunities outside of MCA?
Yes. TKG evaluates the entire opportunity and looks across every structure available, from SBA and term loans to equipment, real estate, and specialty programs. An MCA decline elsewhere is often the start of a better placement here.
Can TKG help with complex or specialty transactions?
Yes. Complex and specialty files are where a strategic funding desk earns its keep. We review the opportunity, determine how it should be positioned, and coordinate structuring and underwriting with the appropriate capital source.
